Due to the heavy rain on Monday the Tonbridge School Playing Fields, on which the run route takes place, became water logged and under considerable depth of surface water. The school have also decided to reseed a section of the grounds and have ask us to avoid this area. As a consequence the run route has to be amended.
We are fortunate that we have managed to find a route on the playing fields, the revised route will be;
Standard distance, from transition down the drive to the playing fields, four laps of the playing fields before returning to the running track to finish. Measured distance 9775 metres.
Relay and Sprint distances, from transition down the drive to the playing fields, two laps of the playing fields before returning to the running track to finish. Measured distance 5325 metres.’
On behalf of the President and Members of Tonbridge Lions Club I would like to welcome you to the Tonbridge Triathlon. We have held the triathlon for 27 years and have raised over £275,000. This year we hope to raise over £15,000. All the proceeds go to local charities and causes who are grateful for your support.
Our aim is, as always, to provide an event that is enjoyed by the competitors and spectators alike while raising money for local charities. On behalf of this year's charities, we would like to thank you for your support and hope that you and your supporters have a great day.
We have a dedicated e mail for the event which is firstname.lastname@example.org
