The first triathlon organised by the Tonbridge Lions Club took place in 1992 and, apart from one year when the event was called off because of police concerns over road safety, it has continued unbroken ever since. So, 2018 was the 26th triathlon organised by the Lions.
After torrential rain in the spring and a vicious, late cold snap, “The Beast from the East”, Bank Holiday Monday 7th May 2018 was fine and very warm, so no problems were encountered on the cycling course.
